The Malahide Horticultural Society's Annual Flower & Veg Show is on this Sunday April 15th from 2pm to 5pm in St Andrews Parish Centre on Church Road. The show features a wonderful array of flowers and plants, with lots of tips and advice and it includes a fabulous Plant Sale too.
Proceeds to support CASA Breakhouse, a Malahide charity set up 25 years ago and run on a voluntary basis to give respite to people with disabilities. They give 1 to 1 breaks for 3 to 4 days a week in their houses in Malahide (and Swords). They are hosting a CASA White Collar Boxing fund-raising event in The Wright Venue Swords on 20th April 2012. An Open Day for those interested in trying out the sport of Sailing is being held by Malahide Yacht Club at its recently opened new Dinghy Sailing Centre at the Broadmeadows on Saturday 21st April from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
All ages are welcome and club officials will be on hand to provide information and advice. A number of boats will be available, in the hands of experienced sailors, to take anyone wanting to get afloat for a sail around the ideal Broadmeadow waters. The Open Day will include a tour of the Club’s new facilities and some light refreshments.

Malahide RFC are proud to announce that on the 27th April, Malahide Rugby Club will be hosting it's first rugby 7's tournament. It will be a social event for junior teams, college teams and businesses. The competition will be run over a single Friday evening. It will take place on their two top standard rugby pitches. They are looking to field a competition of 12 teams this year. The tournament registration will begin at 6 p.m. with the final hopefully taking place at 9.30 p.m. that night and then onto the beers and presentations.
“Blessed, Broken and Shared”: Our annual conference takes place on Saturday, April 28th at the Grand Hotel in Malahide. Over 400 attended this conference over the past two years and we expect that it will be the same again in 2012.

4k Fun Run in Malahide Castle on April 28th, starting at 1pm in front of the Castle. The event is in aid of two local charities, The Laura Brennan Charitable Trust and The Ross Nugent Foundation. Both died from rare illnesses and their families have put in huge efforts to raise funds for Beaumont hospital. Participants will complete a lap of the castle, beginning and finishing infront of the castle building. Entry fee is €10 and all participants will also receive a sponsorship card with the aim of raising more funds for the chosen charities. So far there is approximately 70 participants who have signed up for the event and the event is growing by the day.
