Malahide Lions Club has organised a day trip on a steam-driven train this August with proceeds going to the Ross Nugent Foundation. The train will leave Malahide for Wicklow at 10.30am on Sunday 7th August and will return to Malahide at 4.30pm. Travellers will be able to transport themselves back in time to the comfort of the 1960's. It is recommended that travellers bring a picnic to really get into the spirit. Passengers will receive a brochure detailing the train and they will also be sent off on their journey to the accompaniment of the local brass band.
The price is €35 per ticket or a family of 2 adults and 2 children under 12 for €110. Tickets are available from Malahide Railway Station now.
