Enjoy Malahide with the Malahide Festival, now in its third year since its rebirth in 2010. Some of our sites visitor's might remember the festivals from the 80's, dancing on New Street to 'I'm Walking on Sunshine', fun fairs in the boatyard and go-kart races through the village, with that in mind, the Malahide Chamber of Commerce are again organising a number of events for Malahide in July.
The hugely popular Malahide Festival will take place from 26th July to 29th July. This Festival is organised by the Malahide Chamber of Commerce and focuses on community events, activities in the public spaces and free entertainment. Malahide is a popular destination for visitors and is known for its charm and a great selection of attractions for the visitor.
This year the Festival will open on 27th July with a Concert featuring Vladimir in Concert at the Grand Hotel. Vladimir and his band are well known to music lovers and feature both Classical music and contemporary music with a Classical twist in their extensive repertoire. Tickets are available at from the Grand Hotel. There is a Funfair on Malahide Beach (beside the carpark) from 11am till 10pm on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th.
Other featured events are the ‘Great Malahide Quiz’ on Thursday 26th run by the Tidy Town Group, community entertainment all day Saturday and Sunday on The Green and New Street and a Fun Fair on beautiful Malahide beach. In the evenings there will be a live music on New Street from 7.30pm. We also have a range of children’s events and a few of our best Malahide restaurants will have food stalls on the Green.
